Who you Support
Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos is the first shelter for women and children of domestic violence established in Puerto Rico in 1979. Through shelter, orientation, and counseling services, the participants are guided towards a process of empowerment. In this way, they recognize their potential to take control of their lives and live a life free of violence.
